Vacation Part 3- Cleveland and College Football Hall of Fame

My creation

After the 4th of July we headed out for an 8 hour trip to Cleveland, Ohio. Part of my dad's side of the family was getting together for a small family reunion. It was soooo great to see everyone! It had been many years since we have all been together, and when I say many years I mean like 13 years! It was a blast! We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, Ohio where they had a fabulous indoor water park with lots of unique slides, basketball hoops, kiddie area, and lazy river all designed to get you soaked! It was so much fun! We swam mostly in the evenings and during the day we went to Cedar Point, the largest rollercoaster park in the world!!! I went there when I was little, but it definitely had changed since then. Oh how I forgot about the thrill and rush you get after a good coaster. It had been a long time since I rode one. I am glad my body could still handle it. :) I regret not taking many pictures while there, but I know others did so I might have to mooch a few copies. :) I was impressed with the kids rides. There was a ton! I think Will rode just about every automobile possible and had a blast at the Snoopy Show. And for the times where I felt he needed to relax a bit and get out of the heat they had first aid stations where you could have your own quiet nursing room for free for as long as you need. That I was really impressed with!

After a great trip seeing family we started heading for home at last. Will was a little over tired and worn out after ongoing excitement for almost two weeks straight. We decided to stop in South Bend on our way home to break up the trip a little. We walked around Notre Dame and toured the College Football Hall of Fame. Will could not handle the excitement of footballs everywhere. He was so darn cute! He danced in the marching band room, pointed at every football he could find, practiced his field goal kick, and ran on the turf outside. It was definitely worth the stop. All in all it was a great trip!..and I think Will now has a new obsession with Snoopy. :)
