My Inspiration

I found this video on Mothering tonight and was blown away by its beauty! This is my inspiration, along with all the other wonderful homebirth stories I have been reading. But Lindsey and I have something in common. I have experienced a Cesarean (as did she) and I am ready for a VBAC! (I am NOT telling you I am pregnant...sorry) :) I am getting educated and healthy and if anyone has any good reads or advice as far as VBAC or preferably HBAC, please let me know. thanks!...and enjoy the video.

Steph- completely unrelated - but are you going to be at the Market Day this weekend? I think Allison La Duke and I might check it out :)

I didn't get a chance to look at the video but I have heard from a lot of women who have had c-sections trying to get VBAC's and many hospitals, especially in Iowa, won't even attempt to do them. I guess there is some test now that will measure your uterine wall lining to see if it's safe but I don't know how willing doctor's are to do that as of now. It sucks. I don't know very much about home births so I can't give you much advice on that. Just stay positive and you can do it!

Well, we are pregnant and I will be attempting a VBAC. I am so excited about the experience before me. Thanks for the video. I have a great team of midwives and a very supportive husband and can't wait until May to hopefully experience Natural Childbirth.

Wow! That video was really good! Well a lot of my friends have had c-section and they say they are HORRIBLE! Plus they say the recovery is even worse. I have given birth to two babies naturally and I am so thankful for it! I hope and pray that you can do a VBAC. I am sure if you are determined enough you will be able to. Just pray about it and God will work it out- He always does! I just saw your post on Facebook so I started to read the rest of your blog. Your little guy is SO CUTE! I have a blog too where I post videos of my kids for our family who live far away. If you want to read it just send me your email address and I can add you (ryanmollymeyer@msn.com). I have it set to private. Otherwise thanks for sharing your wonderful blog. You are so crafty! :)
