Our Nighttime Place

This is the first quilt I made a few years ago...I love waking up and seeing all the bright patterns every morning.
... and Will's side of the room...although he is currently sleeping with us still, but he likes to play in his crib. :)

This is my great-grandmothers rocking chair; my grandfather and father were both rocked in it.

... and Will hiding...for some reason he likes to put blankets over his head :)

Ciao!

Steph do you use patterns when quilting? Or did you just design this yourself? It's awesome! I love the colors.
Since I'm getting into quilting now, I'd really love to know how other people create them/make them. I'm finished with my "beginner" quilt and ready to move on to the next project!

Kelli-I have used patterns before, but most if the time I end up changing them a little bit, that leaves room for more creativity... There really is not a right or wrong way. I am not sure where you were taking your class, but The Quilt Junction in Valley Junction is always really helpful if you are looking for a new pattern.

We took our class at the Quilt Block in Valley junction...i'll look around. My mother-in-law designs her own patterns with graph paper...so talented!
I may just have to see what happens after diving in for a little while :)
